Introduction
With the setup of our RIPE Org and an allocated IPv6 Block, the next step is getting an ASN number to start broadcasting with multiple upstreams for redundancy.
From the list below, choose the LIR that you want. The first two sets are from the IPv6 Discord. The last one is one I found by googling.
LIRs (One Time Fees)
LIRs (Slightly Expensive)

LIR’s (Cheapest One)
Requesting RIPE NCC - ASN
I will be using the cheapest one, MikeNetworks BV. The only issue preventing many from being able to use this is that they allow payment via Bank Transfer.
Fill out all required info here on the form, making sure to use the values you recorded from RIPE
For Peering Partners, you can use this website to find some. https://bgp.directory/peers/
Before you register as an individual, remember that RIPE will ask the LIR for verification; some of those will include
- Proof of infrastructure invoice(s)(VM, IP transit, IXP, colo: In RIPE region)
- Proof of Address
- ID Validation
ASN on RIPE
After your ASN gets approved, you will be able to see it on the RIPE DB
